How We Got Here
Today, SubItUp, Inc. (pronounced Sub It Up) is an enterprise-grade online scheduling software used by countless small, medium and enterprise businesses and organizations across the US and abroad. Our scheduling solutions and web-based timeclock products provide any size business with conflict-free schedule creation and management tools that significantly reduce the time and overhead typically required to manage full and part-time staff.
Originally created to solve a basic scheduling issue at MIT's Z-Center. Bob and George, working in a 60 square foot office in downtown Boston, designed SubItUp for simplified shift substitution between employees. The primary goal was to provide employees with an automated way to find other coworkers to fill their unwanted shifts. Achieving this goal in mid-2008, Bob and George set their sights on improving the entire schedule creation and management workflow, one piece at a time.
Now That You've Mastered Scheduling,
We've learned that scheduling is just one aspect of employee management. That's why we have several new things in the works. Things that will push the envelope by combining processes to unify loosely related information in an effort to "close the loop" and have one system that does it all.
As Chief Executive Officer, Bob leverages his Marine Corps experiences and high-tech know-how to lead and evolve SubItUp to exceed customers' expectations. With over a decade of experience architecting applications focused in web and mobile technologies, Bob is extremely proficient in analyzing business processes to find pragmatic and cost effective solutions to scale functionality while increase usability. These attributes provide the SubItUp team with the vision and execution experience to build an ever-evolving suite of tools found within SubItUp.
George Dirth has been working with Bob at SubItUp since its creation. George received his degree from Oregon State University in Computer Science with a concentration in Information Systems and a minor in Business. He has nearly a decade of practical experience in Web, working for a variety of interactive agencies as well as on his own. His experience coupled with his educational background make him a valuable asset to the SubItUp team from a high level strategic perspective as well as a lower level implementation focused perspective.
As Manager of Product Support Services, Bob works with customers in product education, manages the on boarding/ account setup, and develops new tools to continuously improve the user experience. Bob is a graduate of Brown University with a concentration in Mathematical Economics, in addition he brings a background of application development and three years’ experience as a secondary educator.
